CRAIG K. WELCH Craig Welch is known as a tough and effective trial lawyer, working in all of the state and federal courts.
Craig has litigated all types of business, real estate and commercial matters.
Representation of commercial and residential real estate developers is one of Craig's specialties. He has represented such clients in all types of land use, construction and contract disputes including arbitrations and trial work.
Craig is well known as a Bay Area leader in representation of Chapter 11 debtors. His record for achieving confirmation of Chapter 11 plans of reorganization is outstanding. Craig has represented all types of businesses and financial institutions, including a number of real estate developments, a luxury health spa, a chain of copy stores, wholesale printing companies, and a number of banks, savings and loans and other financial institutions.
Craig's solid background in finance, accounting, and business management, combined with his legal skills, enables him to produce and implement creative and effective solutions for his clients experiencing financial distress.
Estate planning, real estate transactions and litigation are among Craig's areas of expertise. Craig has extensive experience in litigating complex real estate issues, including application of the anti-deficiency laws in California. Craig handles all types of business litigation and transactions.
Craig was admitted to the bar and received his law degree from Golden Gate University, in San Francisco, in 1977. Craig holds a master's degree in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his bachelor's degree from Lawrence University in 1970.
He is a member of the Sonoma County Bar Association and the State Bar of California.
